Special Reading:

Jesus says “You are the light of the world”…I like even more what Jesus doesn’t say. He does not say, “One day, if you are more perfect, and try really hard, you’ll be light.” He doesn’t say, “If you play by the rules, cross your T’s and dot your I’s, then maybe you’ll become light.” No, He says straight out “You are light.” It is the Truth of who you are, waiting only for you to discover it… No need to contort yourself to be anything other than who you are.   Tattoos On The Heart: The Power Of Boundless Compassion     Gregory Boyle

Love, in Divine Mind, is the idea of universal unity. In expression it is the power that joins and binds together the universe and everything in it. Love is a harmonizing, constructive power…that divine quality of God that is expressing through all mankind.         Keep A True Lent    Charles Fillmore

Quotes:

Christmas reminds us we are not alone. We are not unrelated atoms… but are a part of something, which holds and sustains us. As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December's bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same. Christmas shows us the ties that bind us together, threads of love and caring, woven in the simplest and strongest way within the family.    Donald E. Westlake

It is not your job to like me…it is mine. Byron Katie

Learn to love yourself, be gentle with yourself, to forgive yourself, for only as we have the right attitude towards ourselves can we have the right attitude toward others. Wilfred Peterson

If you don’t love yourself… you will not be able to love others. If you have no compassion for yourself then you are not able of developing compassion for others. Dalai Lama

Eventually you will come to understand that love heals everything, and love is all there is. Gary Zukav
Love is, above all, the gift of oneself. Jean Anouilh

Love is not only something you feel, it is something you do. David Wilkerson

My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is very simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for Christmas to do that?     Bob Hope

Special Reading:

If you want more happiness, joy, and energy, gratitude is clearly a crucial quality to cultivate. It is a fullness of heart that moves us from limitation and fear to expansion and love. When we’re appreciating something, our ego moves out of the way and we connect with our soul. Gratitude brings our attention into the present, which is the only place where miracles can unfold. The deeper our appreciation, the more we see with the eyes of the soul and the more our life flows in harmony with the creative power of the universe. www.Chopra.com

Quotes:

Let us be Thankful for our thankful spirit, the spirit that God created in us, the spirit that lends enchantment and excitement and wonder to life. This spirit of thankfulness is there. Let us give it voice!  Martha Smock (editor of Daily word for 35 years and major Truth/Unity author)

Unity Reading:

Words of praise, gratitude or thanksgiving expand, set free, and in every way radiate energy…When thoughts are lifted up to the contemplation of our all-pervading and all-powerful Spirit Father (prayer/intention/focus) and our voices ring out in words of praise and thanksgiving, the walls of negation are shattered, and we step forth into a new consciousness of life.  Teach Us To Pray    Charles & Cora Fillmore

Special Reading:

The more practice you give your brain at feeling and expressing gratitude, the more it adapts to this mindset -- you could even think of your brain as having a sort of gratitude 'muscle' that can be exercised and strengthened... the more of an effort you make to feel gratitude one day, the more the feeling will come to you spontaneously in the future." In short, practicing gratitude seems to kick off a healthful, self-perpetuating cycle in your brain -- counting your blessing now makes it easier to notice and count them later.  www.inc.com/jessica-stillman/the-amazing-way-gratitude-rewires-your-brain-for-happiness.html

Quotes:

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.   Frederick Keonig

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.  ~Cynthia Ozick

I live in the space of thankfulness – and I have been rewarded a million times over for it. I started out giving thanks for small things, and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased. That’s because what you focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it.    ~ Oprah Winfrey

Ultimately, your state of mind determines your circumstances. To realize the outcomes you want, it is critical to recognize and experience the transition from our present thoughts, habits, and actions to new thoughts, habits, and actions. - Darren L. Johnson

Experiencing and expressing gratitude is an important part of any spiritual practice.  It opens the heart and activates positive emotion centers in the brain.  Regular practice of gratitude can change the way our brain neurons fire into more positive automatic patterns. The positive emotions we evoke can soothe distress and broaden our thinking patterns so we develop a larger and more expansive view of our lives.   Melanie Greenberg, Ph.D.

The valor and courage of our young women and men in the armed services are a shining example to all… and we owe them and their families our deepest respect. Bill Frist

“Metaphysics & Spirituality Part 3: Changing Our World Together”  10-07-18

Core Statement:

“Changing Our World Takes Walking Our Talk & Leading By Example”  sv

Scripture:

James 3:17  (NRSV)

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy.

John 8:12  (NIV)

12 [Jesus] said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Proverbs 1:33  (NASB) 33 “But he who listens to me shall live securely and will be at ease…

1 John 1:5-7  (NASB)  God Is Light

5 …God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another…

John 13:15  (NIV) (Jesus to Disciples): 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done…

Ephesians 5:1-2  (NIV)  1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved…

Unity Reading:

In Colossians 1:27 Jesus says “Christ in you, your hope of glory”. Jesus discovered this dimension of the Christ, and therefore he was called, figuratively, “Jesus Christ”, but Christ is the God possibility within every person. It’s your hope of overcoming…of healing…of growing and doing the greater things that Jesus promised you can do. It’s a depth of you, not something that can be added on, or put into, or something that you get just by believing in somebody else…It’s that which is the reality of you from the very beginning…   Eric Butterworth   Practical Metaphysics

Quotes:

Metaphysics may be, after all, only the art of being sure of something that is not so…   Joseph Wood Krutch

I think a spiritual journey is not so much a journey of discovery. It's a journey of recovery. It's a journey of uncovering your own inner nature. It's already there. Billy Corgan

“Metaphysics & Spirituality Part 2: Practicing Truth Principles”   09-30-18

Core Statement:

“Practicing Truth Principles Draws Invisible Divine Potential/Substance Into Visible Manifestation”  sv

Scripture:

Hebrews 11:1,3 (NASB)  1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

Mark 9:23  (NKJV) If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

Galatians 6:7-8 (NKJV)   … for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of

the flesh reap… but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Isaiah 58:11    (NIV)  11 The Lord (Divine Mind/Principle) will guide you always; he (it) will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land & will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

John 3:21  21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18  (NKJV)  16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks…

Unity Readings:

Metaphysics: The systematic study of the science of Being; that which transcends the physical… Revealing Word

Spirituality: The consciousness that relates man directly to…God. It is quickened and grows through prayer… And other forms of thought and worship.     Revealing Word

Metaphysics is not to be studied but practiced…it’s not a thing in and of itself…It’s a kind of perception and, like all perceptions, we see them in many ways and at many different levels.    …You can become what you really desire to be, not because of some divine intervention… some newfangled metaphysical system you’re going to learn, not because someone puts his hands upon you and works some spiritual magic. You can do this because your Divine potential, the Christ of you, is always present within you as the Allness of the infinite process expressing as you. This is an important principle by which you can deal with life.   Eric Butterworth   Practical Metaphysics

The practice of the presence of God has very little to do with those few moments when you study or you have your meditation… the practice of the presence means what you do with your life… Practical metaphysics, or the practice of the presence of God, is relating all things to the God process… It’s getting ourselves in tune and working out of that consciousness… to live constantly as if you believe that the Allness of God were present in all its totality, at every point in space. This means it’s present in you, in every experience of your life and every function of your body…So when we talk about practical metaphysics, we imply very seriously that there’s a lot of practice to be done.  Eric Butterworth   Practical Metaphysics

Quotes:

You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul. Swami Vivekananda

When you’ve broken with the God of tradition and ceased from the God of the intellect, then God fires you with his presence.   Ralph Waldo Emerson

Universal Laws are not based on theory or speculation. What at one point was believed to be only theoretical, mystical, or spiritual in nature and understood only by those who learned to tap into the place from where "Higher Truth" comes, has now emerged and become evident in the latest scientific discoveries and is now being measured on a physical level.

Universal Laws, also referred to as Spiritual Laws are the unwavering and unchanging principles that govern every aspect of the universe and are the means by which our world and the entire cosmos continues to exist, thrive and expand.  http://www.abundance-and-happiness.com/universal-laws.html

Luke 17:20-21  (NIV)  20… Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is within you.”

Jeremiah 6:16  (NRSV) 16 Thus says the Lord: Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way lies; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls…

Unity/Special Reading:

What Is Metaphysics: Traditionally, the word Metaphysics comes to us from Ancient Greece, where it was a combination of two words – Meta, meaning over and beyond – and physics. Thus, the combination means over and beyond physics. In most dictionaries, metaphysics is referred to as a branch of philosophy that deals with first cause and the nature of being… In a more absolute sense, we like to think of metaphysics as dealing with the basic questions of life, such as the relationship of man, mind, and the Universe, & the age-old questions “who am I; what am I; where have I been, and where am I going?       universityofsedona.com/meaning-of-metaphysics/

Metaphysics: The systematic study of the science of Being; that which transcends the physical…  Revealing Word

Unity/Special Reading:

What Is Spirituality: Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for meaning in life. Some may… pray or find comfort in a personal relationship with God or a higher power. www.takingcharge.csh.umn.edu/what-spirituality

Spirituality: The consciousness that relates man directly to…God. It is quickened and grows through prayer… and other forms of thought and worship. Revealing Word

Spiritual Discernment: Intuitive knowing of that which is true of God, or Spirit.     Revealing Word

Quotes:

To learn practical Metaphysics, we are involved in something truly original. We will learn principles and teachings, but nothing has come predigested, and at some point we realize we need to do the digesting! We can have a personal revelation of Truth without relying on anyone else’s vision. This is practical Spirituality, and we are expected to put into practice what we have learned.   Rev. Michael Maday (Forward) in Practical Metaphysics

Eric Butterworth says: Metaphysics is not to be studied but practiced…it’s not a thing in and of itself…It’s a kind of perception and, like all perceptions, we see them in many ways and at many different levels. I like calling it “a new insight in Truth.”

Metaphysics is basically a way of seeing life, a way of seeing the universe, a way of seeing spiritual thought.  …We’re concerned essentially with life…as Emmet Fox used to say, with consciousness, with feelings, with attitudes… with demonstrating the fruits of the metaphysical system in terms of healthy-mindedness, greater health of body, greater peace of mind, greater prosperity in our affairs, greater love in our relationships, greater peace in our world.   Practical Metaphysics

I consider spirituality to be a state in which we are connected to God, Nature, each other, and the deepest part of ourselves.                             Z. Hereford

Just listen to the still voice within. This is the mind to trust. This is god consciousness speaking, not the ego that is seeking recognition.” —Angela Walker

At every moment in our lives and on every pathway in the world, do we know that we can access the gift of wisdom? It is deeper than our individual consciousness, deeper than our rationality, deeper than our ego (outer persona).    The Rebirthing Of God   John Philip Newell

Unity Reading: Rev. Robert Brumet  Finding Yourself In Transition

A New Beginning puts us in unfamiliar territory; we don’t have much experience with this new way of life. We may feel unsure of ourselves, maybe somewhat awkward and vulnerable.

Perhaps the best approach is to be specific about the nature and quality of the experience that we desire but not be too specific about the particular form that it should take…    Having determined the essential nature of my desired experience, I let God determine the form and the timing.   …Be ready, but not anxious; be alert, but not willful. Continue to pray, to trust, and to know that your life is in divine Order.

A New beginning will call forth the need for new commitments – not always an easy thing to do! A commitment challenges us to take concrete action – to “walk our talk.” It requires discipline and often sacrifice…  …Yet it is only through commitments that a New Beginning will occur. A true commitment is a decision that puts very powerful forces in motion.

I will make a way in the wilderness and   rivers in the desert.

Unity/Special Readings: Rev. Robert Brumet      Finding Yourself In Transition

We may tend to think of a New Beginning in terms of an external change, but it actually begins as an internal experience. It may be experienced as a subtle inner shift: a new sense of readiness, an inner awakening.

On the other hand, we may not be aware of the New Beginning until there is an external change…the internal signals may be so subtle that our conscious awareness fails to recognize them…we might feel inadequate or unprepared for the opportunity before us.

As we pray for guidance and Divine Order, trusting in God at work in our life, the New Beginning will occur at exactly the right time and in the right way. And we will be equal to any task that life brings to us, for we are never given a challenge beyond our ability to master it.

Sometimes we may attempt an external beginning before we are internally ready. We may feel uncomfortable in the Void and eager to “get on with our life,” and through the power of our personal will acting alone, we may make something happen.

The best approach is to be ready, but not anxious; to be alert, but not willful. Continue to pray, to trust, & to know that your life is in Divine Order.

Unity Readings From: Finding Yourself In Transition by Rev. Robert Brumet

It seems that the greatest of all human fears is fear of the unknown, and change, especially deep or sudden change, [which] almost always confronts us with the unknown.  Change is an inevitable part of our human experience…Most of us who live today are witnessing and experiencing more changes in a few years than our ancestors would likely have experienced in a lifetime.  A major life transition is an opportunity for transformation – a transformation into an entirely new life…an opportunity for spiritual rebirth if we see clearly and respond wisely. Every change is a type of death, a death to an old way of living or being. Yet, ironically, change – a dying to the old – is one of the defining characteristics of growth…  To resist these “deaths” is to resist life. To live fully is to realize that death – any type of death - is but a harbinger of new life. Transition may be an uncomfortable time, yet it is always a meaningful time…  Times of transition are wonderful opportunities to gain strength and wisdom – opportunities to experience spiritual breakthroughs and healings.

Grief is not just a symptom of being wounded but is a part of the very process by which we are healed…  Grieving our loss is a major step in coming home to our true Self…  The path of healing lies in honoring our grief as something we move through in order to realize more fully who we truly are. Every ending is a loss, and grief is a normal response to loss. Greif is a painful emotion and we instinctively try to protect ourselves from this pain…  As a result of our denial, many of us carry a reservoir of grief from previous losses in our life. Each ending may trigger this unresolved grief from the past…

As with any transformational process, we don’t make it happen; we can only allow it to happen through us…  It is especially important that we turn to the God of our understanding during these times…We can realize God is not only guiding us through the transition but is the very force that is bringing about the transition – and the resultant transformation. (p60-61)

He is considered to be one of the most informed Futurists in the world…  In 1989, Petersen founded The Arlington Institute, a non-profit, future-oriented research institute. The “think tank” serves as a global agent for change by developing new concepts, processes and tools for anticipating the future and translating that knowledge into better present-day decisions. Using advanced information technology, a core group of bright thinkers and an international network of exceptionally curious people along with simulations, modeling, scenario building, polling and analysis, Arlington helps equip leaders and organizations from many disciplines with tools and actionable perspectives for dealing with uncertain times.

“The world has never seen the magnitude of change that we are now experiencing…and it will only accelerate in the coming years. In the end, a new world will emerge, populated by new humans… The new world will be enabled by organizations and individuals who see and position themselves in new ways… This is the first paradigm shift that we can anticipate and knowingly shape the emergent world.”

Unity Reading: Pic   ()   2  Holy Spirit/Divine feminine

For the past several thousand years…our feminine nature has been forgotten and repressed… How do we begin to reclaim [it]? …By consciously choosing to bring the Feminine Face of God back into remembrance. (pg14) In a talk Charles Fillmore gave on Jan. 27, 1929 he stated “The love of God is Holy Spirit…[it] is the Divine Feminine of God. We know that God is Wisdom, God is Love. Love is the Holy Spirit, or the Divine Feminine and that is the Holy Mother.    Toni Boehm Ph.D      Embracing The Divine Feminine

We read in Job 33:4  “The Spirit of God hath made me, And the breath of the Almighty giveth me life.” Bible authorities say that wherever the name El Shaddai occurs in the Hebrew Scriptures it should have been translated “Nourisher” or “Strength-Giver,” (Shaddai in Hebrew actually means breasts) which in Hebrew is the Feminine name for God. This verse may read: The Spirit of God hath made me, And the breath of the Mother giveth me life.” (p98) Charles Fillmore  Atom Smashing Power Of Mind

The Divine Feminine is an energy that has been with us since ancient times. Consciousness is basically divided up into the ‘masculine’ side and the ‘feminine’ side, and we need both to achieve our highest creative potential. The Divine Feminine represents the connection to the part of our consciousness responsible for nurture, intuition, and empathy…  Suzanne Kingsbury

Unity Reading: Pic ()           3 -Love Heals

Jesus talked a great deal about the Holy Spirit (the whole spirit)… Holy Spirit is the love of Jehovah taking care of the human family, and love is always feminine. Love is the great harmonizer and healer, & whoever calls upon God as Holy Spirit for healing is calling upon the divine love. The Holy Spirit is sympathetic, comforting, loving, forgiving and instantly healing. (pg182-183)    Charles Fillmore          Jesus Christ Heals

9 In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

Jeremiah 17:7 (NIV)

2 Chronicles 15:7  (NIV)   But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”

Unity Readings:

It is the testimony of all philosophers that everything is in a state construction or destruction…The metaphysician discerns the cause of these two movements to be the “yes” and the “no” of the mind…  It is found that, by the use of these mind forces, man can dissolve things by denying their existence, and that he can build them up by affirming their presence. Christian Healing  Charles Fillmore

With a clear understanding of the relation that ideas bear to their manifestation, we can approach God with confidence; then we have access to the real, unlimited, creative ideas, and we co-operate with the Holy Spirit and get greater results…  We can thus…confidently affirm… that we are successful in all our ways, because we are working with and through the whole Spirit Of God…   Atom Smashing Power of Mind   Charles Fillmore

Special Reading:

Ask, believe, receive.  It’s the Law of Attraction motto, and it’s very simple.  We are all GREAT at asking, and we are usually pretty clear on what it is we want.  Receiving is a no brainer, because it simply comes as a result of believing.  It is the believing part that trips most people up. Believing can be hard, because we have to believe in the unseen in order to get what we want. This is challenging because for so many years, we have been taught that seeing is believing (“I’ll believe it when I see it!”).  However, this lesson contradicts the way the Law of Attraction works. In order to receive (and see!), we must believe first.

Scripture:

Hebrews 11:1,3  (ESV)

Psalm 62:5  (NKJV)  My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10  (NKJV)     9...“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit…

     Definition - Anticipation:

  • The act of looking forward; realization in advance…expectation or hope.
  • Anticipation is a feeling of excitement about something pleasant or exciting that you know is going to happen.

Unity Readings:

Revealing Word: Expectation – Anticipation of Divine Good. Looking about for the wondrous benefits God has prepared for us. In every person is that which causes him always to hope for and to expect that which is good & true. This very expectation helps the good to become true.

Isaiah 60:1  1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

Matthew 28:1-2,5-6

1Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 5But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6He is not here, for he has risen…

Unity Reading:

Eastertide…the resurrection of the mind from the darkness of its doubts and false beliefs into the light of understanding… (paraphrased) Resurrection is accomplished by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit. Every time we rise to the realization of eternal, indwelling life, making union with Father-Mind, the resurrection of Jesus takes place within us…. [It] is the raising up of the whole man – spirit, soul, and body – into the Christ consciousness of life and wholeness. The word crucifixion means the crossing out in consciousness of certain errors that have become fixed states of Mind…    Keep A True Lent  Charles Fillmore

Quotes:

What has always been basic to resurrection, or Easter, is crucifixion. If you want to resurrect, you must have crucifixion.  Joseph Campbell Thou Art That

The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances.  Robert Flatt

Let every man and woman count himself immortal. Let him catch the revelation of Jesus in his resurrection. Let him say not merely, "Christ is risen," but "I shall rise."   Phillips Brooks

Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time.  Martin Luther

The Holy Week message is one of preparation to rise to a new level of being. We prepare by releasing our limitations, doing our inner work to transform our consciousness to create a receptivity to the new. Then, we move through the “crucifixion” – whatever the personal challenge and discomfort are – and allow the inner change to gestate, finally rising as the new consciousness. In this way, we are transformed. The risen Christ Consciousness within is awakened and expresses as a new version of self – awakened and ready to contribute in a larger way to the well-being of ourselves and our planet.      Joseph Campbell, Thou Art That

"The great gift of Easter is hope…which makes us have that confidence in God…in his goodness and love, which nothing can shake."   Basil C. Hume

Special Reading: (Speaking of Jesus)

…No matter how many times you have refused to enter the sanctuary, you have only to knock and the door will be opened to you. I have said to you Ask and it shall be given you, but you refuse to believe... You think that someone is counting your sins, your moments of indecision or recalcitrance, but it is not true. You are the only one counting. I say to you, stop counting, stop making excuses, stop pretending that the door is locked. I am here at the threshold. Reach out and take my hand and we will open the door and walk through together. I am the door to love without conditions.    Paul Ferinni  I Am The Door

When you have compassion and surrender to your own heart, you are surrendering to the hidden power in your heart, God. Surrender is not just a religious concept; it's a power tool for listening to the voice of your spirit and following its directions. True love, or spiritual love, the kind of love that Jesus and Buddha taught, the spark of God within us all, has a fundamental quality of unconditional acceptance. Acceptance doesn't mean necessarily to like or agree but it does mean recognizing what exists without resistance and with compassion. To allow what is to be. It is easy to love those who are like ourselves but to love those who differ and not to be judgmental - that is the attribute of an evolved soul. Believe in the importance of love.  Peter Shepherd

Be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant with the weak and the wrong. Sometime in life you will have been all of these.   Bob Goddard

Spirituality is recognizing and celebrating that we are all inextricably connected to each other by a power greater than all of us, and that our connection to that power and to one another is grounded in love and compassion. Imperfections are not inadequacies; they are reminders that we're all in this together.      Brene Brown

We don't want to be labeled, because being gay or black or a rapper or a redneck or alternative has only separated us, and those are labels previous generations have come up with, not us. We need to embrace our differences, not focus on them.  Anon

What else do we all want, each one of us, except to love and be loved, in our families, in our work, in all our relationships? God is Love. Love casts out fear. We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.   Brene Brown

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection”    Gautama Buddha

No other love no matter how genuine it is, can fulfill one's heart better than unconditional self-love. True unconditional love starts from you to you. Stop waiting on others to give it to you.           Edmond Mbiaka

Unconditional love really exists in each of us. It is part of our deep inner being. It is not so much an active emotion as a state of being. It's not 'I love you' for this or that reason, not 'I love you if you love me.' It's love for no reason, love without an object. Ram Dass

Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we have learned here. The spiritual journey is the relinquishment - or unlearning - of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts. Love is our ultimate reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life.” ~ Marianne Williamson

If we are basically positive in attitude, expecting and envisioning pleasure, satisfaction and happiness, we will attract and create people, situations, and events which conform to our positive expectations.     Shakti Gawain

Referring to the many name changes that occurred in the Bible: Abram/Abraham, Jacob/Israel,Simon/Peter,Saul/Paul…

The change in name always denotes a change in character so pronounced that the old name will no longer apply to the new person…The new name…when we apply it individually means that our faith is to be expressed by bringing the multitude of our thoughts into the realm of Spirit and under the guidance of the Christ.     Mysteries of Genesis   Charles Fillmore

Quotes:

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”       Maya Angelou

We can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better.           C. JoyBell C.

To have God speak to the heart is a majestic experience, an experience that people may miss if they monopolize the conversation and never pause to hear God's responses.     Charles Stanley

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds.    Bob Marley

To pray is to listen to the One who calls you "my beloved daughter," "my beloved son," my beloved child." To pray is to let that voice speak to the center of your being, and let that voice resound in your whole being.   Henri Nouwen

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.  Alan Cohen
